Introduction:Characteristics of DIANAL-BR Resins
DIANAL-BR Resins are 100%solids thermoplastic acrylic bead resins,
developed on the basis of many years' experience of Mitsubishi Rayon
in acrylic resins, designed mainly for use coatings. DIANAL-BR
Resins are more specifically polymers or copolymers of various
methaacrulic and acrylic monomers which are available in 0.01mm to
1mm particle size and in a broad range of grades different in
performance as well as molecular weight methaarylic monomers provide
chemical resisters, whether ability, rigidity nd hardness, and acrylic
monomars, flexibility and solubility, DIANAL-BR Resins offer a wide
range of resin properties to serve a variety of applications
including lacquer coatings and automotive finishes, featured among
others: Water clear transparency Good resistance3 to discoloration
Exceptional resistance to mineral, vegitable and transformer oil
(BR-101,BR-102,BR-112,BR-105, BR-115and BR-118 are soluble in
mineral spirits) Outstanding drivability. While each grade of DIANAL-BR
Resin has its own characteristic features, additional variation of
properties can be achieved to meet specific needs by blending
appropriate grades of DIANAL-BR Resins. DIANAL-BR Resins can also
be blended with various film forming plastics and plasticizers for
modification to obtain desired properties. DIANAL-BR Resins
generally have considerably narrow molecular weight distribution to
their advantage as compared with solution polymerization polymers.
it is suggested to carefully select the right grade of DIANAl-BR
Resins and determine the right formulation to meet the application
condition and performance requirements for given end use. Many grades
of DIANAL_BR Resins are also available as solution resines. Please

Stability of DIANAL-BR Resins
DIANAL-BR Reins as fully polymerized polymers can be stored for an
extended period of time at room temperature with out causing any
durations if kept sealed. However, if they are left unsealed and
exposed to the air, they absorb moisture from the air and may
produce hazy solution when dissolved into an aromatic or other
solvent which is hard to dissolve water. It, however , is noted that
the water content of DIANAL-BR Resin will hardly exceed 1% normally
even if they are left exposed to the air. It is further noted that
some grades like BR-100,110 Series and BR-93 ,79 which have a low
glass transition temperature may stick together to form a block when
stored for a long time at a rather elevated temperature such as in
summer. But this will cause no change in quality. Such a slicked
polymer block can easily be broken into original granular form when
tapped with a wooden hammer or the like.
